Interested in compiling your own 32-bit Windows SDK but getting stuck somewhere along the way? The good news is that there are freshly updated Java 8 build instructions in the openj9 git repo for 32-bit Windows which will help you out with more details from start to finish. The new spec covers all of the key compiling steps that might have caused you problems previously, including the library generation of freeType, parameter settings in the configuration script, etc.
More than that, a complete 32-bit Java 8 SDK for Windows is being built at ci.adoptopenjdk.net and is available as a nightly build, if you’d like to play with it before getting around to building a new one of your own.
